Vive La Resistance

Today I had a chance to head downtown to check out the upcoming PS3 title, Resistance 3. The beta has been out for a week or so, but this was a chance to get some hands on time with the single player campaign. There were about 12 or so TV’s set up, each with different configurations for playing.

Some had the game running in 3D with Move controllers, some in 3D with regular controllers, some normal with Move and some Normal with controllers.  Having never used the gun peripheral for the Move, I gotta say it was more than a little awkward the first time.  I opted out and went to find a station that had a regular controller. Once I was settled on the grey footlocker that was laden with a spray painted “Resistance 3” logo, I was off and running, killing more Chimera than you could shake a stick at.

The gameplay was fast, fluid, and furious, and having never played a Resistance game before – I know the gist of the story- I was impressed with how the game played over all.  Mind you I did only play for about 20 minutes or so, but what I played, I liked.
