The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were a “cool” thing when I was younger… twice. Kind of weird how that happened, but the original black and white comics were incredible and then years later, the goofy “Cowabunga!” Archie Comic version of the Ninja Turtles and Saturday morning cartoons were pretty damn cool too.
So now many, many, …oh god so many moons later, it seems that the Ninja Turtles are on another comeback with a new cartoon series and a new game entitled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.
Activision has released a new trailer that shows off some of Michelangelo’s in-game moves, as well as a few somewhat frightening screenshots of the nunchucking turtle in his newly realized visage.
From the developers Red Fly Studios, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is a third-person brawler game set in New York City, starring the original turtle cast of Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael. The game is also set to feature four-player online co-op play and a skill-based combat system. The downloadable game based on the new Nickelodeon animated series, will be available this summer for PC, PSN, and XBLA.
