Sorry about the lack of ObsCure Let’s Play updates, but I haven’t had the time to record them in the past couple days. They will be returning tomorrow for that one person out there that actually enjoys watching them, but in the meantime, I DID, have a chance to record a different Let’s Play.
This is for the XBL Indie game White Noise Online. There are two versions, the online and the non-online, but both are a whopping dollar to buy. White Noise is basically a cartoonish version of Slender, you know that game that creeps the fuck out of you with a skinny guy in a suit.
With the third part of our Let’s Play of ObsCure, I decided to go about recording the gameplay a little bit differently and it resulted in having the audio not hitch and cut out every two seconds. Hope you enjoy and if you do, feel free to subscribe to the YouTube channel or/and leave a comment!
Part 2 of our ObsCure Let’s Play still has audio issues (promise they are fixed for the next part) and we get to meet a new character at the school named Stan. Yeeeeeea. You’ll see. Anywoooooo, Enjoy!
Welcome to my first ever Let’s Play. To pop my cherry in the narrating gameplay world, I chose to play ObsCure for the original Xbox as I have never played it before and it seems like a pretty cool “survival horror title.” As you’ll soon notice, the audio is a little wonky at the start, but starts to settle down as it goes on. Also towards the end, it takes me a little while to realize there is a hallway on the second floor.
Derp.
Anyways I hope you dear readers enjoy it and there will be at least one part released a day to keep the game going. I’ll also continue to try and tweak the audio so I don’t blow out your earballs.
In case some of our visitors are not aware, not only do I manage Gamealism.com, but I am also a freelancer who does work for other sites. The majority of the work I do elsewhere is writing strategy and collectible guides over at Gamesradar.com. From time to time I will post my guides that have been published for our readers here, in case they need an extra hand in particular games.
In the fast-paced action of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, there isn’t much time to stop and smell the roses or pick up collectibles. Over on Gamesradar, I have put together one massive guide, with full video, to help players collect all of the left arms, MIB’s, VR Missions, and data storage devices, with the least backtracking and replaying of missions possible. The guide shows the order to collect each item in each level from beginning to end, and for those that have played the game, you know how devious some of those collectibles can be.
Black Knight Sword: Cat Head Grass Locations Guide Author: Jeff McAllister
Throughout the weird and wacky chapters of Black Knight Sword, there are collectibles to be found that are called Cat Head Grass. As the name implies, they are cat heads that are sitting in plant pots. As you collect them, they will be gathered into a room and will dance with some pretty memorable music when you go to visit them from the main menu. While it’s cute to have a few of them, nothing beats seeing the full room of cat heads bouncing around to the catchy tunes.
For the sake of disclosure, I’m going to begin this review by stating that I have never been a huge fan of the original Devil May Cry series. The first three titles had their moments here and there, but it was the release of Devil May Cry 4 and the fact that you had to play through the game as one character and then play it through in reverse as another, that was the proverbial nail in the coffin of me never wanting to play any future Devil May Cry games. Fast forward five years and cue Ninja Theory, the developers behind the titles Heavenly Sword and Enslaved, who have been handed the reins of Devil May Cry and with them, the entire series has received a reboot, complete with a new style, new characters, and one hell of a new experience.
There was one achievement in particular that was rubbing my rhubarb in DmC: Devil May Cry. It was the “Looks Like Its Your Lucky Day” Achievement in which you need to complete a mission without getting hit. I’m sure for people with lightning fast fingers and reflexes it’s not a big deal, but my sausage fingers and zero attention span made this a little more difficult than I originally thought it was going to be. BUT I did happen across a neat little trick that can make this achievement crazy easy and only takes about 2 minutes to get. So how do you do it? Well let me explain.
In the third mission, Bloodlines, you will need to take out a few enemies and then go out to the street where it begins to fall apart. When it does, you’ll need to return to the first area, do a tutorial for the Air Dash, and then fight a bunch more enemies. The trick is, once you have completed the mission for the first time, replay the mission, and you can now skip right over everything, except the first wave of 5 or so enemies, simply by Air Dashing over the gap in the street when it first appears instead of returning to the main area to do the tutorial and fight the rest of the enemies there. So to get this achievement, you’ll only need to fight 5 or so enemies and not get hit. Easy enough?
EA allowed gamers to sign up for early access to the Dead Space 3 demo a few weeks back, and the codes for it have been sent out to the address linked to their Origin account. For those who weren’t quick enough to jump in on the sign-up, we have played through and recorded the single-player portion of the demo in its entirety. The demo also includes a co-op playthrough, but for the real frights, you want to be on your own.
The video runs for about 30 minutes and was the first run through.
