Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon Dual Scream Ringtone

Luigi ringtone

If you’ve been playing the recently released Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, then you’ll know that when Prof. E. Gadd needs to get a hold of you, he will contact you on your DS (Dual Scream). Whenever he does, your DS will ring, but if you’re like me, you let the music play for a bit because it’s so damn catchy.

Well for those of you that really dig that little tune, I’ve put the sound from it up on Audiko.net and is now available to use as a ringtone for your own phone. To download the tone, simply follow the link and select whether you want it for iPhone or in .MP3 format. Then just hit “download” under the file and you’ll have it all for yourself!

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates of Infinity Review
A Fun story when it decides to get around to it, but not much else.

Author: Jeff McAllister

Pokémon is an incredibly popular force in gaming with multiple types of titles available from the franchise. The Mystery Dungeon series, which all take the same turn-based approach, have similar initial setups, have been hit or miss throughout their many releases. The latest Mystery Dungeon game, Gates of Infinity is no different, but sadly, this release misses the mark by a mile.

It’s been a long time since there has been a fighting game that features the characters from the Marvel Universe. Marvel vs. Capcom and X-Men: Children of the Atom are some of the greats, but they were part of the previous generation of fighters; the 2D animated side by side style made famous by Street fighter. It took a few years for the Marvel gang to get itself into a 3D setting and their first outing is not quite what was expected. Originally dubbed Marvel vs. EA, Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects pits ten heroes and villains from the Marvel universe against seven totally new creations from Electronic Arts.

Injustice: Gods Among Us Story Trailer and Screens

injustice

With the release of NetherRealm Studio’s next title creeping up on us, Warner Bros. has been releasing a slew of trailers showing off gameplay and new characters for Injustice: Gods Among Us, the DC Universe based fighting game. Today they have released a trailer that focuses solely on the narrative of the game and just what it is all about. If you played through the single player aspect of their previous fighter Mortal Kombat, you’ll know that a fighting game CAN actually have a pretty interesting tale that goes along with it rather than just a short cut scene once you have defeated all combatants. You can check out the new trailer after the jump as well a handful of new screenshots. The scheduled release date for Injustice: Gods Among Us is April 16th, 2013 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U.

Spy Hunter Released For 3DS; PSVita Alongside Launch Trailer

Warner Bros. Interactive had confirmed that Spy Hunter, a reboot of the original combat/racing game with the ear worming theme song has been released for the PlayStation Vita and the Nintendo 3DS for $39.99 on each system.

Keeping in the same vein as the original Spy Hunter released to arcades in 1983, the player assumes the role of the cleverly named “Agent,” which sadly is not Dwayne Johnson, and takes control of the transforming G-6155 Interceptor supercar, armed extensively with advanced weaponry, and even an unmanned aerial support drone.

The fancy new ride can now seamlessly transform from supercar to off-road assault vehicle to speed boat, allowing players to select which path to follow in the game’s branching mission tracks. Players can also customize and upgrade the Interceptor’s many weapons and high tech gadgets throughout the course of the game. Sound good? Be sure to watch the trailer below before making up your mind.

Angry Birds: Trilogy for 360, PS3, and 3DS. More Like Greedy Birds Amirite?

Can’t get enough Angry Birds? Rovio is hoping not as they have released the retail version of their hit mobile game for home consoles. The Angry Birds Trilogy is now available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the Nintendo 3DS. So how much would you be expecting to throw down to own a big screen version (sorry 3DS) of the popular bird-tossing game that sells on phones for $1? $10 maybe? $15? Okay, $20 would be pushing it in all honesty, but nope, you can purchase the console version of the game for $40 ($30 on the 3DS).

Seriously.

To try and justify the price, it has been said that the mobile version is only 99 cents but the mobile device it’s played on is much more expensive than the Xbox 360 or PS3. I don’t really understand how that justifies it. By that logic, it wold be fine and dandy to sell Infinity Blade for $500 on consoles because it costs more on iOS. GENIUS.

It is a ripoff plain and simple. If anything, it should be nothing more than a downloadable PSN, XBLA, eShop game, but greedy is as greedy does.

Just remember, the best part of having Angry Birds on consoles for $40, is that you can save yourself $40 by not buying it.

Frogger: Hyper Arcade Edition Review

Frogger Hyper Arcade Edition Review
Author: Jeff McAllister

Not too long after the release of the hyper-stylized Pac-Man Championship Edition on XBLA and the PSN, other arcade favorites started to receive the energetic overhaul. Galaga, the wave based space shooter was next in line and although it didn’t receive the same acclaim that Pac-Man did, it was still an interesting rejuvenation for an aging game. After the success of those re-tuned arcade games, it was only a matter of time before other companies started to jump on the neon bandwagon. The most recent title to hop on is the retro arcade monster hit Frogger, with Konami releasing Frogger: Hyper Arcade Edition.
