kf8pb2qm

In Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel, you sure do kill a lot of people.

Have you ever thought about all those people that you put an end to and just who they were in the life before you put a bullet in them? In this video, we try to shed some light on just who the real villains of Army of Two are.

Defiance: Day 2 Two Impressions

disconnect

WELP.

Day two certainly did not go nearly as well as day one did. When I first logged on today, the game downloaded a new patch which took about five or six minutes to install, but since then the game has been inexplicably unstable and for the majority, unplayable. I wanted to add some video to today’s article so I thought I’d do a quick Let’s Play of the action. You can see that at the end of the article. The day was full of the server not connecting, and when it did, it either disconnected soon after, or was horrendously laggy.

In general, today was a giant clusterfuck for Defiance.

Let’s Play – Defiance [X360]

letsplaydefiance

After I posted up the Day One Impressions of Defiance, I thought I’d take a bit of video footage for the Day Two Impressions. Instead of just a bit of gameplay, I decided on a Let’s Play, and well, this is how it turned out. I’ll post up the Day Two Impressions of the game a little later on tonight.

Enjoy!

Bioshock Infinite’s Reversible Cover Art is Gorgeous

reverse-bioshock

Did you know that there was an alternate cover for the recently released Bioshock Infinite? If you did, well you’re smarter than me because I sure didn’t. The default cover, which can be seen here, took a lot of flak when it was first revealed for being way too generic, too similar to the Uncharted covers, and not featuring either the Song Bird or Elizabeth, two of the game’s main draws.

So when I saw a twitter post saying that the reversible cover was way better than the original, I just assumed that people were joking that the blank white paper that is usually on the reverse side was better than the image of Booker with a shotgun slung over his shoulder.

Silly me! The reversible art can be seen above if you haven’t checked it out before.

Defiance: Day One Impressions
Author: Jeff McAllister

I haven’t played an MMO since the very early days of City of Heroes, and it was a game I really enjoyed. In the years since, having to constantly upgrade my PC to keep it current to play games saw me slowly transition over to consoles where I do most (i.e. all) of my gaming now. So when I saw that there was an MMO coming to the 360, my interest was piqued, even though I had no clue what the game was about other than having the usual post-apocalyptic Earth setting and not having a monthly subscription fee, I decided it was time to jump back into an MMO world.

Garrett the Thief is back with this announcement trailer for Eidos-Montreal’s next title: Thief, which is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 4 and “other next-generation consoles.” Although the trailer is purely pre-rendered and doesn’t feature any gameplay whatsoever, it’s still nice to see Garrett back in action and looking even better than ever.

Creepy Watson is Creepy

creepywatson

In the previous Adventure of Sherlock Holmes games, Dr. Watson had an uncanny knack of being one creepy bastard. He would appear closer to you whenever he was off screen and it was actually a little unnerving having him suddenly appear next to you. With the release of The Testament of Sherlock Holmes, Watson’s weird behaviour was corrected and he no longer would sneak up on you when you weren’t looking.

Due to the outcry of the ever fickle internet, and being ever the vigilant company to fans demands, Frogwares upcoming Sherlock Holmes game, Crimes & Punishments will have the option to let you have Watson behave in his old sneaky ways from the 2006 title.

Of course, if you haven’t realized, it is April Fools Day, but the Creepy Watson video included was too hilarious and we just had to post it with some explanation for it. We have even included a few screenshots of the upcoming game for good measure.

Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel Review

Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel Review
Much darker and less bro-y then previous titles.

Author: Jeff McAllister

Army of Two made a name for itself back in 2008 as a third-person co-op shooter that featured two characters named Salem and Rios. The two iron masked characters, coated with enough armor to stop a charging car, were the most bro-tastic bros that ever did bro and the in-game abilities of being able to fist bump, play air guitar, and high-five, bro-ed that point home. In the latest release, the third game in the series,The Devil’s Cartel, Salem and Rios have been replaced by the incredibly bland named characters Alpha and Bravo and long gone are the bro-ing bro-titudes that made the series famous. It’s no longer a lighthearted romp while murdering scads of enemies that the previous games were, and introduces a much welcomed darker side to the series.
